A source confirms Miley Cyrus was taken to the hospital today, and will therefore not be able to perform at her show in Kansas City tonight.
This same source confirmed to E! News, that Miley has canceled her show at the Sprint Center due to what they said was “an absolutely horrible reaction” to a medication she was just prescribed. Cyrus’ current state is not clear, but the star did tweet apologizing for not being able to perform tonight. She said, “Kansas I promise I’m as heartbroken as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with ya’ll makes me feel worse than I already do,” she tweeted.
She followed up with a photo of herself in the hospital bed, titled, “Mr. Octopus & some amazing Drs. are taking good care of me.”
According to reports, it did not say whether the concert would be made up at a later time, but it did say that people who purchased tickets could get full refunds.
This was not the only medical problem the 21-year-old singer has been dealing with during her time on tour. Earlier this month, the pop star was diagnosed with the flu and was forced to cancel her first concert in North Carolina. Although she was still feeling under the weather, the performer took the stage the night after in Raleigh, N.C.
Getter better soon Miley!
