Dear Accents community,
As our senior year begins, we wanted to express our gratitude to you for your enhancement of our high school experience. This paper has been a highlight of both of our IHA careers and Accents has been more than just an extracurricular.
The newspaper has been a unique platform for us to express our ideas, improve our writing abilities, collaborate with other staff members, and find a creative community. We both joined our freshmen year and got to witness Accents’ perseverance through the pandemic. As members of the editorial board last year, we had the privilege of becoming more involved with the publishing process and directly helped in designing the print edition. This year, as your new Senior Editors-in-Chief, we are excited to expand upon Accents’ appeal.
You can look forward to a special upcoming holiday edition, coverage of all the events returning after the pandemic, more student body features, and overall, a thoughtful representation of our school. Accents will always be dedicated to you, our readers, and we will always strive to “speak your language.” The two of us are thrilled to lead this endeavor this year and are thankful for your continued support.
