IHA’s Accents Presents: Local Places to Visit For Some Holiday Fun

As the holiday season commences, we can’t help but yearn to get in the spirit. Singing, sightseeing, etc… but where can we find such adventures, especially within driving distance? Here are some local suggestions!

1) German Christmas Market of New Jersey (Augusta, NJ)

Join in this cheerful and culture-celebrating event in preparation for the Christmas season. An abundance of food, shopping, and dancing is in store! Run entirely by volunteers, you’re not only having fun but also supporting the local community and small businesses!

2) Ridgewood Tree Lighting Ceremony (Ridgewood, NJ) 

Visit this town’s tree lighting ceremony to kick off the holiday fun! Surrounded by a plethora of shops and restaurants, there’s plenty to do and see. 

3) Orchard of Lights at Demarest Farms (Hillsdale, NJ)

Purchase your tickets, start your car, and grab your camera and drive through this wonderful display of lights through Demarest Farms’ decorated pathway. An activity people of all ages can enjoy, be sure to check out the farmers’ market across the street after for s’mores making and hot cocoa!
