Because of Covid, it may seem difficult to find places to go or things to do this holiday season. However, there are definitely some places you can still go to eat at and enjoy this winter! Here are a few spots that are very accommodating during this time of year!
- The Greens at Pier 17
This rooftop restaurant is perfect for a chilly winter night. With gorgeous views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty, this restaurant has such a beautiful atmosphere. When you make a reservation each party gets their own little cabin to sit in with a private table. Each cabin has its own virtual fireplace, help button (to ask for service and drinks), and even a heating system. The cabins are clear, so you can see the city, while also staying safe and isolated in your own little room!
2. City Winery at Rockefeller Center
Similar to The Greens, this restaurant gives parties their own private spaces to dine in! And this restaurant uses igloos instead of cabins. Located in the heart of the city, what could be better than dining in the middle of all of the traditional Christmas decorations, while also staying safe and isolated. With clear igloos you will be able to see the Christmas lights and spirit around you while also staying safe and cozy.
3. Valley Rock Inn
This restaurant located in Sloatsburg, NY is a perfect place for pretty outdoor dining. With delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere, this spot is highly recommended. This restaurant offers plenty of outdoor dining (along with heaters) to keep you safe and warm this winter and holiday season.
4. 230 Fifth Rooftop Bar
This is a festive spot for a Saturday or Sunday brunch in the city. With beautiful views of the city and personal igloos to dine in, this is a perfect holiday daytime restaurant. Although this rooftop is open at night, it is only 21 and up past lunchtime. Still, this bar is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a place to eat and relax at during the day.
Note: All of these places are great restaurants to visit, and you should definitely make sure to make reservations as soon as possible if you want to dine at them. Although you cannot eat with a mask on, please bring one to wear while walking into the restaurants, and around the city.
