#1 Skating Rink at The Standard
The rink at The Standard is definitely one of the most festive places in the city. Located in the Meatpacking District, this rink is so quaint it will hardly feel like you are in the city at all. Stop by the hotel next to the rink for lunch for its Christmas-themed lunches, such as gingerbread-men grilled cheese and the best hot chocolate.
#2 Madison Square Garden Christmas Show
The Rockettes are always amazing, but Madison Square Garden plays Christmas shows every year as well! This year the show playing is The Grinch. Going to the show is sure to put everyone in the holiday spirit. The dates on this show are December 13th through the 30th!
#3 The Shops at Bryant Park
Whether you are shopping for a gift or just browsing, the shops at Bryant Park are a great way to spend a day in the city. With many little stores and food stands to visit, you could spend time there for hours. Some favorite stands visiting this year are Home Frite, Doughnuttery, and United Chocolate Works.
#4 Saks 5th Avenue
It’s always great to visit Saks 5th Avenue and take a look at all of the festive holiday windows with a new theme every year. These displays of props and lights will definitely take your breath away. And of course, do not forget to take a picture with the classic Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center.
#5 St Patrick’s Cathedral
This is one of the most beautiful places in the city. Many people stop in to simply light a candle or say a prayer. The Cathedral is newly renovated and it’s a place everyone should try to visit this holiday season!
