On November 8, 2017, was a big day for five IHA senior athletes! These students committed to play their sport on the collegiate level next year.
The girls will not be straying too far from New Jersey, but are looking forward to the new opportunities their future schools will provide them. It takes tremendous dedication to play a sport on the collegiate level, and IHA is extremely proud of the commitment the girls have.
The athletes who signed are:
Kylie Carr (Softball) – Manhattan College
Magdalen Cooney (Lacrosse) – College of the Holy Cross
Catherine Fazio (Swimming) – University of Connecticut
Sarah Horne (Swimming) – Lehigh University
Kathleen Sheridan (Swimming) – Penn State University
The students are happy all their hard work has finally paid off. “Signing to Lehigh was rewarding and exciting because I was able to earn a goal that I had been working towards since I was 5 years old,” exclaims Sarah Horne’18. “I am incredibly happy that I found the right college for me after months of talking to coaches and visiting schools. I would not want to be going to school anywhere else!”
Everyone at Accents wishes the girls the very best in the future! We know you will soar to new heights!
