Summer may be over, and school may be back in session, but fall is still one of the best times of the year. Between the cool weather, foliage, football games, holidays, and food, fall can be just as good as summer.
One of the best things about fall is the football games. With high school games on Fridays, college games on Saturdays, and NFL games on Sundays, there are plenty of opportunities to see a few football games this fall. Even if you don’t know the first thing about football, it’s a fun way to socialize and wear a cute outfit matching the game’s theme.

Fall is also the best time of the year to go hiking. It’s never too hot, but never too cold to take a hike in the fall. A sweatshirt, vest, and pair of sunglasses constitute the perfect attire. Taking a hike with a few close friends in the crisp air, while admiring the foliage is the best way to exercise. Plus, you can snap an artsy picture for your Instagram feed once you get to the top of the mountain.
Another fun activity to do in the fall is to bake. Fall, by far, has the best foods. Pumpkin pie, banana bread, apple cider donuts, and apple crisp are only a few fall favorites. Even though these can be bought in any grocery store or farmer’s market, baking them yourself makes them taste that much better. Also, the baking makes your house warm and smell amazing.
It’s most definitely sad to drain the pools, store the bathing suits away, and turn the air conditioning off; however, fall is worth it. Sweatshirts and boots everyday, warm pumpkin pie, and blasting the heat while watching Netflix doesn’t sound too bad. Throw a sweatshirt on and your favorite pair of Uggs, and enjoy fall while it lasts.
