The end of the school year has arrived. The seniors are graduating, and the underclassmen are approaching the final weeks of the marking period and final exams. This is a bittersweet time of the year as we say goodbye to the seniors and welcome the lazy days of summer.
A few years ago, Accents switched from the traditional printed newspaper to the current online format that is always available and regularly updated during the school year. The “paper” has articles ranging from IHA News to Arts and Entertainment and World News.
To commemorate this time of year, Accents has created a special “Year in Review” print edition to highlight the seniors and the important events that occurred throughout the year. After hours of interviewing, writing, and editing, the Accents staff and I are excited to share this memorable print edition with the IHA community.
This issue of Accents is meant to be another souvenir of the 2015-2016 school year that will hopefully be saved with the yearbook and Orb magazine. Having a print version was one of the goals I wanted to achieve during my first year as Editor-in-Chief. The Accents staff and I have reached this goal with the help of our moderator, Miss Mackin, Mrs. Brodeur and the administration.
I hope you enjoy this special edition as much as I enjoyed putting it together. The Accents staff and I hope everyone has a safe and fun summer, and wish the seniors much success in the future.
Remember to keep visiting the Accents website at www.ihaaccents.com, because “we speak your language.”
Sincerely,
Victoria Lubas ‘17
Editor-in-Chief
