Madison Dietz has been a treasured person part of the IHA community since her first day of freshmen year. She has not only achieved in her academics but she has participated in extracurricular activities and has gained many friends through her years at IHA.
Not only is Madison an exceptional student, receiving a Soaring Eagle Award in Communications, but she is the perfect image of a well-rounded, kind, and intelligent IHA girl. She is an enthusiastic learner and a great role model for lowerclassmen. She has been a member of Mock Trial for all four years, is the Vice President of Get Reel, and the Senior Producer and Anchor on Heart TV. Madison is someone who cares about her sisters around IHA and because of this she is also a Peer Mentor and an Eagle Ambassador. Madison also recognizes the importance of service and is a Junior Volunteer at Valley Hospital. Aside from all her activities she has a job at Sprinkles Ice Cream. This may seem like a lot to handle mixed with academic studies, but Madison never fails to prove that she can handle it all and more.
Madison dedicates all she has accomplished to her teachers here at IHA. “Mr. Mathews truly pushed me to be the best student I could be and always encouraged my ideas and growth.” She also said, “ Mrs. Maltz and Ms. Chelotti have made history so interesting and fun and inspired me to study Political Science in college.” She says IHA “shaped me as a hardworking, independent, intelligent young woman” and everyone at IHA could not agree more.
Madison says she will miss the sense “of community and sisterhood” at IHA. “I have really bonded with a lot of these girls in my extracurriculars and IHA events.” Madison has shared many memories at IHA, especially with her senior class. She says “The Senior Talent Show was so much fun to plan” and that “prom and after prom was one of the best weekends ever. We were not forced to bond, but it just happened and it has just been so much fun. I have become close to so many new people this year.” Madison says that IHA has shaped her into the woman she is today and IHA is proud to have been her home for her high school years.
Madison is a dedicated, hard working student and will be attending Pace University in the fall. She will be Majoring in Communication Studies with a double minor in journalism and political science. Your future is bright, Madison! We will miss you so much next year and cannot wait to see all the fantastic things you achieve!
