With Valentine’s Day and Winter Break quickly approaching, we remember the last season of love, and time off, Christmas. Immaculate Heart Academy was able to express their Christmas spirit at their Holly-Day Dance, held on Friday, December 11th. The dance was open to IHA freshmen and sophomores, and their dates and 230 students attended.
From 7 until 10:30, IHA’s gym came alive with music and dancing. There were lights strung along the walls, wreaths hung on the doors, and tables with Christmas centerpieces.
“The decorations went perfectly with the holiday-theme. I loved them!” Isabella Haines, freshman, exclaims.
The Holly-Day Dance also included a DJ and a buffet dinner. According to Bernadette Goratowski, a freshman, the DJ played a lot of fun songs that got everyone out on the dance floor. The buffet dinner included pasta, chicken, meatballs, and more.
Josie Ascione, another IHA freshman who attended the dance, described the atmosphere as ”lively, fun, friendly, and loud.” When asked if she thought the dance was a success, Ascione stated that she had a lot of fun, and according to her observations, it looked like everyone else did too.
IHA did a great job of “getting everyone in the Christmas spirit” said Ascione. She continued to say, “I am grateful for everyone who helped set up and put together this year’s Holly-Day Dance.”
