ITS Performs in One-Act Festival

Simona Riccardi

Immaculate Heart Academy’s International Thespian Society (I.T.S.) held its annual student-run one-act play festival on Saturday, April 25th.

Produced by co-presidents and seniors Alexa Gonzales (‘15)  and Molly Dudas (‘15), the theme of the show was “New Beginnings,” featuring scenes and monologues directed by and featuring IHA actors who went with the idea of a new start.

Some highlights of the production included a series of vignettes (written by Gonzales and Dudas) throughout the show featuring Mary Kate Hall (‘16) trying to get over an ex-boyfriend with a fresh start, a set of “movie monologues,” a pantomime performance by Julia Mancuso (‘18) , and a scene both written and directed by student, Kelly Murphy (‘17). Gonzales and Dudas were also featured in a scene written by IHA alumna Katherine Dudas (‘11) following two seniors about to graduate Immaculate Heart.

Audience members left the theatre with a smile on their faces and the feeling that while the show was over, they could go out into the world with the feeling of a new beginning.
