Lilly Pulitzer, a fashion icon and designer of her line, announced in January that she would be working with Target to sell merchandise. However, what was planned to last months lasted one day!

On Sunday, April 19, Target opened its doors to thousands of shoppers who were eager to buy Lilly Pulitzer clothes at a much cheaper price than what they are sold at directly from the Lilly Pulitzer stores and website. Lilly Pulitzer has said this week that the amount of merchandise that Target had been supplied with should have lasted weeks, or even months, but only lasted a single day.
Many people bought mass amounts of Lilly Pulitzer merchandise online and in stores and are now selling them at retail price on Ebay and other online stores.
The purpose of selling Lilly Pulitzer at Target was to make the expensive clothing line affordable for everyone, but instead it just seemed to cause a frenzy in Target and made for a very upset group of people who did not get the opportunity to purchase the clothes they thought they would be getting.
People are wondering if Lilly Pulitzer will ever be sold again in Target, whether there will be a limit on how much each person can buy, and if there will be enough merchandise to last more than one day! It seems the only way to find out will be to wait and see.
