If you enjoyed IHA’s production of The Boyfriend, you’ll definitely enjoy Gigi!

Vanessa Hudgens shines as Gigi, a free-spirited and good-hearted girl who is taught about the finer things in life by her great-aunt and grandmother, played by Tony award winner Victoria Clark. She is smart, kind, and does not understand the mindset that lavish gifts can buy love and happiness. As Gigi travels through her journey to mature and advance her social status, she spends a lot of time with the upper class family friend Gaston, who is often written about in the gossip magazine La Parisienne.

Directed by Eric Schaeffer and set in 1900s Paris, Gigi is filled with beautiful “turn of the century” costumes, along with a set that is easily transformed into a different location with the use of appropriate lighting and props.  Choreographer Joshua Bergasse also did an amazing job with everything from background to ballroom dancing.

Gigi officially opened Wednesday, April 8th at the Neil Simon Theatre located at 250 West 52 Street.

Inside the Neil Simon Theatre, the audience settles in to watch Vanessa Hudgens take the stage as Gigi.
