Lady Gaga has officially announced that she will be joining the cast of ‘American Horror Story’ in the upcoming season. This will be Gaga’s first acting debut.

After Gaga’s stunning performance at the Academy Awards, Sunday February 22nd, the pop star had another huge announcement to share with the public–she will be joining the cast of FX’s hit series American Horror Story in its upcoming fifth season.

Gaga tweeted later that week, “make your reservation now” with a link to a video of the star announcing her role on the show. Season five of the show will be aired in the fall, and will be Gaga’s first acting role. Gaga will be the first member to check in to the ‘Hotel’ cast.

The Hollywood reporter writes, that AHS cast members like Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and Emma Roberts will be retiring from the series due to other commitments.
