For the first time in IHA history, the undefeated ski team was named the champion of the Interscholastic Ski Racing Association.

The girls were able to place first in the slalom race, and second in the giant slalom, which led them to be the state champions

Megan Ahearn placed first in the Race of Champions slalom competition with an amazing time of 1:09.96 and took the overall title. “Meghan acted as a true role model on and off the snow,” said Jillian Morgan, a sophomore on the ski team. “Her passion for skiing guided us all through the ups and downs the whole team had this season.”

Some other key skiers in the races were Jillian Morgan, Emily Newman and Keara Sheehan who also placed in the top ten of the Race of Champions.

Coach Dowd expressed his enthusiasm of the great win saying, “This was one of those seasons where all of the stars aligned and everything fell together. The last couple of years, we were the bridesmaid–this year, we were the bride.”

Congratulations to the ski team for such an amazing feat. Your hard work through the season really showed in the final races and the IHA community is very proud of you!
