For the past several years, IHA has sent one or two sophomores to the Hugh O’Brien Youth (HOBY) Leadership Conference, and this year was no exception.

23 members of the Class of 2017 applied for the opportunity to attend the conference taking place over three days this upcoming June at Monmouth University.

Mrs. Skoljd, sophomore class moderator, took every application into consideration along with teacher recommendations, and made the decision to send sophomores Catherine O’Toole and Lauren Foote as IHA’s representatives. In addition, Gabriella DePinho was selected as the alternate representative.

Also, the following students will receive a Certificate of Merit in Leadership based on their application and teacher recommendations:

Giavanna Tobbachino
Sienna Scian

Congratulations to all being honored for their leadership accomplishments! We cannot wait to see the new talents and leadership methods that these students will bring back to the IHA community!
