On Saturday, November 22nd, IHA held its seventh annual Father/Daughter dance and it was a big hit as usual.
At 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 22nd, fathers and daughters walked into the IHA Cafeteria. Girls lined up to take pictures with their dads and sat together in the cafeteria. The night opened with a prayer and a speech from Mrs. Garrigan.
After her speech, it was time for dinner–the food was catered from The Brownstone. After dinner, the girls and their fathers were led downstairs to the gym, where the DJ was set up and already playing music.
The night was spent dancing, but the girls weren’t the only ones dancing. Many dads were spotted on the dance floor throughout the night. Most dads spent a good portion of their time on the sidelines, but did get up to join in on line dances like the Cha Cha Slide, and for the slow dances with their daughters.
It was a beautiful night and much thanks and appreciation goes out to the Parents’ Club for all their help and to the National Art Honors Society for its decorations.
