It has been announced that Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, are expecting a baby boy!

Underwood first announced her pregnancy back in September, only a couple months after she and her husband celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary. The country singer took to Twitter to say that she’s expecting a baby, posting a photo of her dogs, who were wearing “I’m going to be a big brother” and I’m going to be a big sister” shirts.

The photo had the caption, “In honor of ‘Labor’ Day…Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn’t be happier!”

Fisher confirmed his wife’s announcement on Twitter as well, posting “We haven’t picked names yet but it’s looking like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher.”

The baby’s gender was released on November 5th, during the Country Music Awards, while Underwood was joking around with her cohost, Brad Paisley. After Brad begged Carrie to tell him the baby’s gender, she whispered something in his ear, and later, as they were introducing Garth Brooks, Brad said, “We could name him Garth.”

Carrie seemed to be in on the joke, saying, “You gotta be kidding me. You kept that secret for a whole two minutes.” Backstage, Brad snapped a selfie with Garth, tweeting, “Lil’ Garth Fisher. Just sayin’ #bradblewit.”

Underwood and Fisher are expecting their baby boy to arrive during the spring. All we can do now is wait for ‘Lil’ Garth!
