This month, IHA and high school students everywhere are pledging to dedicate themselves to safe driving in the “Celebrate My Drive” contest. Supported by the insurance company State Farm, “Celebrate My Drive” is  a nationwide promotional competition which  works to prevent teen induced car accidents. According to the official website, over 2 million pledges have been made to “celebrating this big, new life of freedom that comes with a driver’s license.”

Last year Immaculate Heart Academy won a $25,000 grant. This year, the school has the potential to win either another $25,000 grant, $100,000, or even an exclusive, Grand Prize concert from the Grammy-winning music group, The Band Perry.

Commitments in the school’s name can be made once a day by any person over the age of 14 on the official website; this means IHA students should remind family, friends, and fellow students to vote every day from October 15th to October 24th, when the contest concludes.

As of October 23rd, 2014, IHA is in 65th place. Please keep voting!
