Blake Lively, 27, announced her pregnancy on her blog, “Preserve,” on October 5th by posting a photo of herself cradling her small baby bump.

The blog post is all about celebrating expectant mothers along with photos taken by Lively’s brother, Eric, of pregnant women along with Lively having a baby bash.

Fellow Gossip Girl star and onscreen mother, Kelly Rutherford, gushes over the news to US Weekly saying she is a “natural mother and has witnessed her maternal instincts with her own children.”

This is the first child she is expecting with husband Ryan Reynolds, who wed in 2012. The Gossip Girl star has always wanted a big family saying, “I would have 30 (children) if I could,” and telling Marie Claire in its September 2013 issue that she has “gotta get started.”

Lively and Reynolds both grew up in large families, with 4 or 5 siblings, and are positive they want that, too.

Reynolds told Details, “A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think.”
