LONDON – Kate Middleton is pregnant for the second time just over a year after Prince George was born, and rumor has it that she is expecting twin girls.

The Duchess of Cambridge announced on September 8th that she is once again pregnant and is expecting in April or May. If the rumors are true, she will name the girls Elizabeth, for the Queen, and Margaret, for the late sister of the Queen.

For months now, there have been rumors that Kate was pregnant, but now they are one hundred percent true. Kate has some morning sickness and she is being treated at her home in Kensington. She had to cancel her engagement plans in Oxford due to her current state.

“It’s been a tricky few days — week or so — but obviously we’re basically thrilled, it’s great news [. . .] We’re hoping things settle down and she feels a bit better,” Prince William states about Kate.

Certain cravings are common during pregnancy and it seems that Kate’s craving is cookies.

“Kate has the cookies made fresh every day,” a source revealed. “Will jokes that his daughters are going to have a terrible sweet tooth!”

Having another baby is important to the royal family because something could always happen to the first baby, which could lead to the second baby being the King or Queen. “George V was also the second son — and also became heir after his elder brother died  young from influenza,” CNN’s Kate Williams explains.
